Caf Spotlight: What to Look Forward to in the Upcoming Semester

At Hardin-Simmons University, we take immense pride in our state-of-the-art cafeteria, which is designed to offer healthy, delicious meals for our faculty, students, and staff. In anticipation of the new semester, the Caf is set to introduce many exciting changes and enhancements aimed at improving your dining experience. With new menu options, themed food events, and more, this semester promises to cater to both the culinary and social needs of the HSU family. 

The main initiative involves switching menu items and incorporating more variety. The dining services team has been working hard to develop new recipes that will cater to diverse tastes and dietary preferences. You can expect to see some signature international dishes such as Tres leches, butter chicken, and more.

In an effort to make dining at HSU more fun and engaging, the dining services team will host themed events. This will offer a rotating menu of some of your favorite dishes and add a hint of excitement to your mealtimes. Carneal Chambliss ’22, Marketing Coordinator for HSU Dining Services, 共享, “I am most excited for the upcoming events. A lot of time and effort has been put into these events to ensure that they remain exciting for the students, and I can’t wait to see the fruits of all the time and effort that has been put into it.” 

For students enrolled in a meal plan, the benefits extend beyond convenience. The cafeteria serves as a vibrant social environment where you can meet new people and forge meaningful connections while enjoying a variety of dishes. “We want the cafeteria to be more than just a place to eat; we aim to foster a sense of community.” Chambliss noted, “There is a unique level of fellowship that students on a meal plan experience which others might miss out on.”
